Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Ltd (AEROTHAI) has accepted an invitation to join the Asia and Pacific Initiative to Reduce Emissions (ASPIRE).
AEROTHAI is in progress of undergoing transitional development towards Global Air Navigation Plan, encompassing environment initiatives as one of the key areas. Joining ASPIRE is a natural step given AEROTHAI's Benchmarking and Partnering for Success principle. Its membership will be the single most important short-term milestone in the contribution towards the longer-term goal of reducing carbon emissions in aviation.
Thai Airways has agreed to be the airline partner of AEROTHAI. Thai Airways play a key role in the transformation of Suvarnabhumi Airport into a regional aviation hub for global air travel through the Star Alliance network, an integrated worldwide air transport network.
AEROTHAI is expected to formally join the ASPIRE partnership in June 2011 during the 5th CANSO Asia Pacific ANSP Conference and CANSO Global ATM Summit & 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
